We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Jaden Dejesus-Eves, a beloved freshman basketball standout and cherished member of the Catholic schools community. Her life, filled with promise and purpose, was taken far too soon, leaving behind an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jaden was an exceptional young woman whose passion for basketball reflected her determination, resilience, and heart. As a freshman athlete, she quickly earned admiration for her natural talent and disciplined work ethic. On the court, she played with courage and confidence, demonstrating leadership beyond her years. Her competitive spirit was balanced by her encouragement of others; she celebrated her teammates’ successes as enthusiastically as her own. Coaches respected her eagerness to grow and her commitment to excellence, while teammates valued her steady support and uplifting presence. She was not only a gifted player but also the heartbeat of her team.
